Covid-19 has brough unpresented times which even the best of the leaders or managers would not have prepared for. However, they are also times when we are seeing the best of the leaders and managers show up in the way they are managing the crisis. For the communities, it is proving to be a complete turnaround of the way they connect. They are having to innovate to reach out to the communities to help them manage the stress and anxieties being experienced because of the crises. In Berkshire, Utulivu Women, Acre, and Women with Vision, continue to engage with the communities through Zoom. This has come with its challenges for the communities mainly on how to use the zoom besides affording to have the media gadgets that support its use. Thanks to businesses like Tesco and funders like Berkshire Community Foundation Trust, The Earley Charity, and Peoples Health Trust who have enabled us to continue connecting with the communities differently. Among the things that have been done through their support are: maintaining contacts with the most isolated and lonely members, supporting them get their basic needs like shopping and prescriptions, run sessions like healthy neighbourhood connections, shared experiences of Covid-19, positive parenting through Covid-19, managing anger and practicing patience in the face of Covid-19, Hope in the face of Covid-19 etc. Below are some of the zoom forums that we continue to run.
